Moment of Peace----Jiuzhai National Park

Oil on canvas 122 x 91.5 cm

This painting I have started to paint back to early September, unfortunately I had to stop and try to rush to my father's bedside as he was critically ill. I never made it.He passed away as I was flying to see him for the last time. I completed this painting today and I dedicated this painting to his memory. My father was a wonderful and kind man.Jiuzhai National park, Sichuan province,China is a unique place. Most of the time that I have spent there it was exetremely cold and raining. It's only for few minutes the weather was clear. And in this few minutes of sunshine it revealed its beauty.I hope that the spirit of my father can find a place of such a beauty. He deserves it.
